TASTE TEST
Maman Tribeca NYC
211 W Broadway, Tribeca, NY 10013
"Oh Mama-n 2.0"
After my last post at their Soho location, Maman invited me to go to their Tribeca location. After looking at pictures of their new site and after consistently corresponding with their owner, I was more than excited to visit Maman again.
Before you even walk in there are so many beautiful touches that welcome you in. There is a lot of greenery incorporated with tons of fairy lights. There is even a menu to give you an idea of what u want before you're even inside!
DECOR:
The seating area is filled with mismatched chairs and tiny bulbs in vases, that are absolutely adorable. The wooden table and chairs help express a total rustic vibe that is completely my aesthetic.
(peep my mother)
Their wallpaper consists of the same pattern as their paper cups!
The lounge area has these back to back "sofas" on these wooden crates. These crates were former mail carts that were imported from France and with them there are various pots of greenery, which always help liven up the environment.
Maman hosts breakfast, brunch and lunch and even have certain days where certain events are held, such as fondue night!
(P.S. you can even host your own event here!)
Their sweet desserts are always changing so make sure you take advantage of the sweets when you go, because you never know when it will come back!
[couldn't resist posting this picture of this cute couple I saw]
DRINKS:
I got to try this healthy green drink from the brand "Luli." I've never heard of this brand before, but the green color attracted me and so did the ingredients. Although this drink might be on the more pricer side it was very healthy and I would definitely buy it again.
My mother decided to get a latte, a typical coffee and milk drink. The special thing about Maman is they do some terrific latte art, so if you're looking for a picture of a good latte Maman is the place to be.
I decided that one drink wasn't enough, so then I got some black tea which was absolutely delicious and the china that came with it was actually beautiful.
FOOD:
One of my favorites from this visit was the corn chili. In the past I've had very bad experiences with corn chili. The first time I tried one it was chilled and there were literally chunks of iced corn floating in the soup. This Maman chili was exactly how I imagined corn chili should taste. This corn chili was warm and the green onions helped add a little kick to the sweet corn. The olive oil on top, however, was my favorite as it helped add more flavor, and when mixed in with the bread it really kicks in.
My mother decided to get a chicken sandwich filled with tons of veggies and topped with some poppy seed bread. This sandwich was not only stunning, physically, it was also extremely tasteful. I've never particularly liked tomatoes, however the tomatoes here were the perfect addition to the chicken and arugula in the sandwich, it was sweet and juicy without being too much.
This vegetarian sandwich blew my mind before I even tried it. The black bread I found to be one of the most attractive thing about this sandwich when I first laid eyes on it, (oh my gosh I actually sound like I'm describing my soul mate.) The yellow pepper helped add a sweet element to the mozzarella and pesto mix with some arugula. This sandwich is perfect for an adventurous eater, or anyone who wants to try some crazy cool black bread.
DESSERT:
This raspberry treat with strawberry filling, I completely destroyed. This was not only a very pretty looking treat, it was also extremely tasty. The strawberry filling was not too sweet, where it was cringeworthy, but it was sweet enough to have a kick. The raspberries helped add a tart flavor to the sweet treat that really brought the whole thing together.

As you can see, the "Pros" definitely outweighed the "Cons" and therefore next time I go to Maman in Tribeca, I better find your butt down there too!
Thank you: As a new blogger I've never been given the opportunity to connect with the founders of the restaurants that I visit and review. I would love to take this time to thank Andrea and the whole Maman staff for treating me and letting me, a rookie to the blogger game, enjoy your services.
Next time I come, I am definitely drinking more Lavender hot chocolates and eating some more Macadamia chocolate chip cookies and maybe even trying some more sweets as well.
Love you lots,
MWAH
