> TASTE: Maman Soho NYC

TASTE TEST
Maman Soho NYC
239 Centre St, New York, NY 10013
 "Oh Maman"

I have visited many cafes in NYC and tasted what they had to offer, but I have to say my experience at "Maman" was beyond what I've been accustomed to.

Decor:
1. TONS of plants, perfect for a #plantslut
2. PLENTY of browns and whites to give off a vintage feel
3. SIGNIFICANT tiny details that make you wonder how this cafe could afford to stay around with the crazy prices of NYC real estate

Maman are known for their cup designs.

These floral cups, ranging from gray to blue, are perhaps the quaintest "mugs" one has ever seen.

These cups are absolutely perfect for anyone looking to "up" their game on their instagram feed.

The menu changes daily so if one item doesn't entice you on a visit - come again!
(I SOUND SUPER FAKE BUT YOU WANT TO VISIT)

(Hot Chocolate and a Latte)

The Hot Chocolate came as a surprise as it was filled to the brim with dark chocolate and although dark chocolate isn't one of the favorites it did compliment my meal nicely.

The Latte, like any latte, was quite bitter and could do with the manual addition of packet sugar, however if your tastebuds are like my friend Leahs, you'll defiantly be delighted in the taste of coffee and milk.

(from left to right: Sophie Salad: arugula, cilantro, corn and black bean salad and mozzarella and broccoli kiesh)

The Keish was very warm and comforting.  There were times were i just chewed chunks of melted mozzarella, don't be scared of its chewy like texture.  There is an abundance of broccoli so I guess one can count it as "healthy."  However, I felt there was too much egg for me and I could do with more items added into the keish.

The Sophie Salad was delightfully refreshing and delicious.  It's perfect for the people who hate dressing (such as me), as they give you no dressing but a little bit of lemon juice on top.  The cilantro balances out the sweetness of the corn and the arugula adds some moistness to the dryness of the black beans.  The salad, although looking like a small meal, is quite filling for the tummy.

(piece of pistachio bread)

This Pistachio Bread was quite dense and full of flavor.  Very moist, it was a perfect dessert to end my trip at the cafe.  With it's pretty pastel green color it is the perfect "poser" for an instagram picture and with it's wonderful flavor and texture it is a pleasent treat to eat.

(Outfit from top to bottom: UO coat, F21 cardigan, UO crop top, Topshop high wasted jeans, Adidas black indoor cleats)

This Outfit is very Dionne "Dee" inspired from Clueless with its mismatched stripes and various color schemes.  The sweater and the jacket tone down the bright colors and patterns of the crop top.  The mom jeans and black Adidas bring the outfit to a close.

I HOPE THIS BLOG POST INSPIRES MANY OF YOU TO COME TO SOHO NYC AND TRY THIS CAFE.

Love you lots, Mwah
